When I saw this one in the drug store sporting that beautifully drawn Nick Cardy cover, I knew that I HAD TO HAVE THIS! I wish I could get that excited about a comic book again, but the exuberance of youth and all that. This one is by George Kashdan and Alfredo Alcala.

Old Warrior: Heck, I wish there were comics around like this today to get excited about. What a magnificent comic. A true work of art from the splash page to the final panel. I have been noticing a sudden surge of Alcada on comics blogs lately (which is how I became aware of this great artist in the first place). I loved his use of shadow. No one does it better. And what a great story from Kashdan!
