The Huntress briefly served with Justice League International but preferred to stay close to Gotham. She frequently butted heads with Batman over her pitiless methods, never more so than when she mistakenly appeared to have executed the city's mobsters.

She eventually proved her innocence and Batman nominated her for membership in the JLA hoping to smooth her violent edges.

This is the final issue in a four-part miniseries. When placed together, all four covers form a single collage, which can be seen at the bottom of this post.

Helena Bertinelli was the daughter of a Mafioso commanding one of Gotham's notorious "Five Families." A rival family killed her parents in the Palm Sunday Massacre, and Helena fled to Sicily where she learned combat skills from her cousin Sal. Upon returning to Gotham she donned the cowl of the Huntress, vowing to track down the assassin who had slain her family.
